Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone has had a good 4th of July weekend! We have had a pretty busy weekend, but an uneventful actual 4th of July. Unfortuantly, I’m home with a lower fever and not feeling well today, so we are just having a lazy day (not always a bad thing!).

To start our weekend off, Lennox’s daycare had a family picnic. Of course, we brought lennox and she had fun. It has just been SO hot outside lately, that you can’t be out for too long, or this is what you get:

Too hot!

Other than being hot – we had a good time. Some of Lennox’s old teachers got to see how big she had gotten! It got me thinking of how really lucky we are to have such a great daycare provider and how happy Lennox is when she is with them!

On Sunday Lennox got into her kiddie pool to help cool off during this hot Texas summer. She hadn’t been in it since last year, but she sure did like it! She liked to stand up and then fall into the water on her bum! I want to get Henry over here soon and put them in the pool together – i’m sure they would have fun tonight. Pool time may last longer than too!

Later in the day we headed over to Kyle’s mom’s house (Grammy J) for a BBQ. She was wearing a new outfit that was made for her by Grammy, it’s pretty stinkin’ cute if I do say so myself! What do you think?

We also made some yummy homemade vanilla ice cream compliments of Aunt Sissy (Remey). It was really good and of course, lennox loved it too!

So all in all, we had a good and eventful 4th of July weekend. It really did feel like a summer weekend!! Not having to work on a Monday is always nice too 😉 What did you do for the 4th?
