Have you experienced the “fun” of DJ Lance Rock in the Sky, Muno the red cyclops, Foofa the pink flower bubble, Brobee the green little one, Toodee the blue cat-dragon and Plex the robot?! If you don’t have kids, or if you have never seen the show, then you are probably wondering what the heck i’m talking about. I’m talking about Yo Gabba Gabba. Lennox discovered this show thanks to her Daddy and Netflix. It is quite a strange show – it almost reminds me of the days of Teletubbies – but this show is a little less annoying and more educational.
I’m still trying to figure out exactly what this show is all about – but from what I can tell, DJ Lance Rock is a retro DJ with a big boombox – when he turns opens up his boombox, he takes all the character figurines out and put them into their little land – then they come to life and sing, dance and teach kids life lessons – such as trying new things, manners, sharing, friendship, colors, shapes, etc.
Anyways – to the point i’m trying to get to in this post, Lennox is not overly interested in TV right now – she will watch for maybe 30-60 seconds and then do something else. Yo Gabba Gabba on the other hand, she seems to LOVE it. She loves it even more when she can watch it on the iPad, rather than the TV. She isn’t usually a dancer either when music comes on, but this show makes her shake around a little; its too cute! I was able to catch her doing it a little the other day – and yes, she was being diaper baby for the evening since its so hot down here in Texas!
Now could someone tell me why Daddy would tell her to shake her moneymaker!? no no no! Haha – all in good fun 🙂
