30 Day Shred Level 1 Complete

#30DayShred Week 1 & Level 1 + New Link Up

Well, I’ve done it. I’ve made it one week into the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. I think that is about the longest I’ve ever stuck with any type of exercise plan on a daily basis, so for me – this is pretty darn good!

Day 4:

I woke up again, not very sore! Thank goodness! I got the shred done in the evening again after Lennox went to bed. It was getting easier, still having to take a few breaks. I have found that I had to modify the jumping rope move a little (alternating feet). I don’t know if this will still have the same effect, but I just couldn’t do the jumping rope for long enough in the beginning.

Day 5:

I really didn’t feel like doing the Shred. It was getting late into the evening, but I decided, I better do it and I did and you know what? It was pretty “easy”. I say that quietly so that no one can hear me because now it will be hard! I found day 5 to be the easiest day so far — I only had to take 1 break, which I consider pretty good! I was able to get all the way through the jumping rope and side lunges – woohoo! I just have difficulty with push-ups! I will do level 1 for another few days and then move to level 2.

Day 6:

Today was pretty similar to yesterday — I still have a little break at the very end of push-up, but other than that it went quickly and somewhat “easy”. I think I will do one more day at level 1 and then try level 2.. and then go from there — see if I’m ready or not!

Day 7:

Today was a good day! I was able to get through the push ups, get through the jump ropes with little modification and everything else! The 20 minutes went by FAST, but somewhat boring. To me, that means it’s time to try Level 2! I’m sure it will be tough at first, but let’s hope I don’t have to fall back to level 1. Also, no soreness.

Thoughts after Level 1? I like it! I’m sticking to it plus doing a 25-30 minute cardio work out during lunch @ work. . My only gripe about the dvd program is, I wish they had level 1 (day one) and then level 1 (every other day). I really don’t like listening to Jillian’s instructions OVER AND OVER or introductions to the system, I heard it the first day, I got it, thanks!

Oh! Also…I have side by side pictures, that I’m not sharing, right now at least, I took a look tonight, and…. I CAN SEE A DIFFERENCE! woohoo.

    Just a little tidbit, you can change the settings so that you can turn off her instructions and just have the music going. Or have it like that and turn off the volume and put your own music on instead! 🙂 Keep it up! I am doing 10 days of each level right now and have one more day on level two!!!
