Cascade Platinum Pacs

Getting Clean with Cascade

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

A while back I posted about chores for toddlers. One that we have started with Lennox is dishwashing. Of course, we have to be careful of everything breakable and sharp in the dishwasher, but in general – it is a good chore to have your little ones help with. It’s at their level, they can see the progress they are making quickly and its a short task all together. Lennox still needs LOTS of help with this chore but eventually she will be able to do more and more, which honestly, wouldn’t be a bad thing for us moms or dads – right?

So what do we use to get our dishes sparkly clean? Cascade Platinum Pacs! We have tried dry detergent, liquid and all the different pacs but when Cascade asked me to try their new Cascade Platinum Pacs, I was optimistic that we would finally find something that worked GREAT; and that they did! Unfortunately, where we live, we have very hard water so our dishes always have spots or get cloudy. It is pretty annoying, honestly!

We tried the new Cascade Platinum Pacs and had much better results! So what makes Cascade Platinum Pacs stand out from the rest?

  • The Cascade Platinum Pacs include a triple action recipe that is designed to leave your dishes spot-free and prevent hard-water buildup! (I mentioned we had bad hard water, right?)
  • Cascade Platinum Pacs will wash away 24 hour stuck on food
  • You won’t need to pre-wash dishes!
  • Gives your dishes that shine they had from day one!
  • The Platinum Pacs come in two scents, Fresh and Lemon Burst and are aviallbe at most all mass retailers since March 2013. The average price for a the medium size bag (23 ct.) is around $6.69 – Every competitive with all the other brands out there.

Cascade also has 2 exciting things going on. They have partnered up with Gail Simmons from Top Chef and Food+Wine Magazine (love her!). Since everyone is always posting pictures of their food now online via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even other blogs – the way the food is plated, really makes a difference – and that is how Gail is working with Cascade. Gail Simmons is discussing why presentation is so important; from how you prepare the food to how you plate the food. A piece of advice from Gail herself:

“The easiest recipes pop with unexpected, gourmet presentations. Drizzle bright sauces on sparkling white plates or layer desserts on crystal-clean glassware. Keep your presentations sparkling with Cascade Platinum, which keeps dishes perfect for anytime entertaining and impromptu guests.”

Lastly, now it’s time for you to participate! Cascade has launched the “My Platinum” contest on Instagram  This contest is a 4 week contest with a different theme each week. I encourage you to head over to the contest information page and give it a go! There are 2 winners each week and the winners receive a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher (awesome!). There will be one grand prize winner as well, and the prize? Well it’s awesome! They will receive a Platinum kitchen makeover!
