Finding quick and easy meals for breakfast but still full of vitamins and protein is not always an easy task. I consider our family an “on the go” family during the week. Between getting ready for work and school and getting out the door on time – our time is tight! Some mornings we have time to sit and eat, while others we need to eat while in the car on the way to school!
So with that in mind, I decided to head to Walmart with Lennox (you can see pictures from our morning shopping trip in my Google+ Photo Album) and find something that would fill that gap and was within our budget!
We made our way through Walmart, looking at the fruit and frozen food section. After looking through all of our frozen options – I decided on the Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls. Between these frozen breakfast bowls and a few healthy additions – we should be able to have a balanced, yet quick breakfast meal!
They were inexpensive (under $1 per bread bowl) and small enough for Miss Lennox to eat on her own! They also came with Bacon — I mean, who doesn’t love Bacon – right?! and Sausage. They also include between 9g and 11g of protein (~20% of your daily needed protein)!
To go with the frozen Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls, we got some fresh strawberries and grapes – Lennox loves fruit with her breakfast! We also picked up some more orange juice too to wash everything down!
We wrapped up our shopping trip and headed home. The next morning Lennox helped me get our family breakfast all together. We didn’t have a lot of time sunday morning, as we were heading out for the day – so this was the perfect test!
The Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls come 4 to a box, and 2 to a package. They take less than a minute to cook in the microwave and then you are ready to go! Of course we added in some fresh fruit and juice to our breakfast. Lennox doesn’t usually get any type of frozen breakfast sandwiches, so this was a treat for her. she picked the Sausage Egg & Cheese variety, while I had the Bacon, Egg & Cheese! Both flavor varieties were delicious!
I decided to make Lennox’s place a little extra special – she thought it was very silly…and yummy!
Overall, it took all of 3 or 4 minutes to get everything ready and on the table – so I would call that a successful breakfast! I know that Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls will be making an appearance in our house again very soon!
