If you have been following my blog for a while now, you will remember that Lennox has been potty training for a while now. During the day she is 99% potty trained. We have skipped the pull ups most of the time now – but we still do put them on during nap and bedtime. I just don’t want her to wake up in the middle of nap or the night, wet and cold from an accident!

Fast forward a month — Lennox has been dry almost all nights now, so it’s time to take the pull up off (nervously) and try to be a big girl all together! When I heard about GoodNight Bed Mats – I knew that is just what we needed. It gives Lennox the freedom to not have a pull-up on but there is some extra protection on the bed, in case of that late night accident!

Lennox is still in a crib (She just loves it so much so we haven’t transitioned her yet) and as you can see, it fits well! We positioned it in the middle where she usually lays for the maximum coverage. GoodNite Bed Mats on toddler mattressThey are soft to the touch and doesn’t make all the noise that plastic sheets or mattress covers make, so that is a great feature as well. Once I got it all ready for Lennox – it was time for bed!

I snuck in before going to bed to check on the situation and Lennox was sound asleep, dry and the mat was still stuck in place – in fact it lasted many naps/sleeps on the same stick. We did however have to put a small light weight blanket on top of it because she personally didn’t like to sleep directly on it. Next pad, I will probably put under the sheet – I know that will get the sheet wet – but it will still protect everything else!

Lennox has successfully been dry for a few days now at night, but these bed mats give us a piece of mind that if she does wet the bed, she won’t be laying in a puddle! They are easy, convenient and not too expensive! Target is also offering a $1.50 off GoodNite Bed Mats right now, so make sure to print that coupon out before heading to Target to get these!

Edit: Since writing this post, Lennox did wake up with an accident one morning. The mats worked GREAT! The only thing that was wet were her pajama bottoms and the think sheet we had put over the mat. Everything else in her bed stayed perfectly dry – super quick clean up! We also have had the same mat down now for a week since the accident and it is still sticking great!
