Meeting Friends at BlogHer13

I want to write a more in-depth post on BlogHer13 but I’m currently in this post BlogHer daze and pre-vacation anticipation! I’m exhausted from BlogHer still and I’m super excited to be having 2 1/2 weeks off from work and away from Texas and back in my forever home, Cape Cod (starting next week!).

So while I work on that post I had a few thoughts I wanted to share. Although I have some opinions on the sessions and the conference itself, one of the highlights for me was finally meeting my online bloggy friends in person. I talk and follow so many of them on a daily basis but had never met them. Will they be as nice in person? Will we be able to interact and connect the way we do online? Will they like me?

So when BlogHer finally arrived, I was able to meet everyone I had planned to (that was there) and It was fantastic! Everyone was as nice in person as they are online and each one of us immediately picked up in person, where we had left off online.

I was able to hang out Steph, Jayne and Nicole a few times throughout the weekend but especially at the Hasbro party!

I was able to hang out with both Shannon and Shannon at the Fly DIY party on Saturday night. I don’t have a picture of all of us together, but it was a great party and I’m so proud of how it all turned out for both Shannon’s!

Then finally, throughout the weekend, I of course hung out with my great roommate, Diana and our new friend, Liz!

There were a few others I met up with along the way, but I don’t have a picture πŸ™ Note to self, take more pictures! I made some new friends as well, which I hope to connect with again next year!

So although I have a lot more to share and talk about, I would say the highlight of the whole weekend was finally meeting up with my bloggy friends and spending some real-time together! I can’t wait until we can all see each other again!

I’m glad you took that CheeseburgHer picture, because I tend to take more building pics and less of people! And it came out great :). I’m glad I got to meet you and Diana too at BlogHer, hope to see you again there next year!

Also, I love Cape Cod/MA … that’s where my family is from (MA) but we moved to IL when I was 5 and then MI when I was 9. We are going back to Boston in October for my cousin’s wedding.
