I talk about Lennox all the time, but there is another little girl in my life. Her name is Daisy-Mae and she is 5 years old. Who is she? She is man’s best friend — a Black and Tan Coonhound! We got Daisy-Mae shortly after we bought our house and long before Lennox! She may look sad in this photo but she is a happy girl. Those hound eyes and droopy lips just get you every time. She is a good pup but she still needs some training. Now that Lennox has finally decided to start paying attention to her, we have to get her training again so that she can go out for some evening walks this summer. Lennox loves to go for a walk and I know she would love to bring Daisy but she just needs to learn to act a little better! So, what is the best way to motivate a hound dog to train? TREATS! Their noses will get them every time. We were now on the hunt for the best dog treats for her.
So, we headed out to the new Kroger in our neighborhood (you can see photos from our shopping trip in my Google+ photo album) and found some new treats for Daisy-Mae to try! We decided on Nudges Wholesome Dog Treats.
Why? They are the best dog treats for big dogs, you can tear them apart into smaller pieces, no fillers and they are made in the USA. I love that they are made in the USA because you never know exactly what is in dog food/treats!
So when we got home, we had to try them out. Daisy was going crazy when she saw the bag. She just sniffing it and jumping around! She could hardly container herself when Kyle was opening the bag! Of course, we made her to do a little work before she got some treats, like sit, lay down, shake and jump up. My favorite and her least favorite? Puppy sit-ups! Gets her every time 😉
Daisy loved these treats and they really are great for training your dog. If you are interested in trying them out, make sure to check out the $1 off Nudges Coupon.
