The Color Run: Setting a Goal

When it comes to getting a little more active and exercising, I think Kyle and I have the least amount of motivation around. It really is not a good thing. I personally, do not like exercising. I always feel like it’s so boring, even if i know I need to be doing it. So when I was approached by The Color Run, I thought it was the motivation that we both needed to start getting active and getting ready for our first ever 5K. What better 5K to do as our first, than “The Happiest 5K on the Planet: The Color Run“?968825_520220044698712_1346951333_n(1)If you are not familiar with what The Color Run is, here are some quick details:

The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!

And this 5K run is not just for fun, it is also giving back to the community by partnering with local and national charities. They plan on raising over $1 million during 2013!

The Color Run, a for-profit company, loves the opportunity they have to partner with charities to help shine a light on their amazing work within society and highlight the causes they stand for. They have raised donations for more than 80 local and national charities since 2012. For more information on how The Color Run works with charities, visit our Charity Page.
