It’s that time of month again, time to show you the everyday moments I caught on camera. Honestly, I almost forgot about this post this month – September snuck right up on me. As you probably know, August was a busy month and we were hardly home, so with that theme, this month’s Catch the Moment will be focused around our trip to Cape Cod. Thanks again to Sarah from Nurse Loves Farmer for getting me into this series! It gives me a good reason to go back through my photos each month and try some new editing techniques.
Something great that I miss about being on the cape is the times after dinner, where you can put on pants and a sweatshirt and head down for a nice walk on the beach at sunset. It seems crazy to put on a pants and a sweatshirt in August, but in the evening, at the beach, it’s completely normal!
I love the golden sun hitting Lennox’s hair. The lifeguard chairs were a topic of conversation and curiosity for Lennox. Of course, we had to climb up to the top and sit, but what kid doesn’t want to do that?Sitting and watching the waves crash, even the tiniest little waves can be mesmerizing. The complete opposite time of day, morning, is hustle and bustle at the beach. It’s full of kids running around, catching fish, building sand castle and splashing in the water.
Here Lennox is chasing after the “Sea Eagles” aka Seagulls!
She went fishing with dad at low tide for crabs, minnows and any other sea life she could find!Playing in the water and with the buckets is something she is always doing. The faces she makes and the things she says always crack us up. You can only imagine what she may be saying, thinking or even singing in this picture.
And lastly, pure happiness at the beach. She sure does miss it – but it will be there next year and we will explore it all once again! The Day Kyle had to head back to Boston, we spend the day in Boston along the water front. There are some metal sculptures/monuments. Honestly, I don’t know what they are supposed to be. Lennox thought they were really big laptops!! HA! But she had fun playing and sitting on them with Papa. You really can get a sense of how small she is in this big world! We also spend the day at the New England Aquarium. Right before we left, Lennox sat at the tank with her Daddy (before heading to the airport) watching all the fish and sea life swim by. I love this precious moment. So those are our moments from the end of summer (even though it’s still 100+ degrees outside). Make sure to try to grab your DSLR more around the house or during your every day life and catch the moments that you may otherwise miss capturing!
