Where can a kid be a kid? Chuck E. Cheese of course! Lennox had gone to Chuck’s place once before a bout a year ago – but it was busy and she was a little too young still so Dad and Lennox didn’t stay too long. This time – after many many many begging moments of “Can we go there?!” – we finally surprised her with a day off from school and a visit to Chuck E. Cheese! I know it can be busy on the weekends so it was great to go on a slow spell during the week!
We headed in at lunch time and got the pizza / drink / token combo. A large pepperoni pizza, 4 drinks and 40 tokens. The pizza was actually really yummy! A large pizza was just the right amount for 1 kid and 3 adults. We upgraded her drink to the souvenir cup too – which she just loves! Look how excited she was:
Right away, we played some games while she waited for the pizza to arrive. She loved that they gave tickets and we went from game to game winning tickets for a prize at the end. She was lucky enough to have Kyle meet us for lunch as well (as his work is right down the street). Here they are playing a big spin game.
Then it was time to take a break and watch the Chuck E. Cheese show! After the show Chuck E. came out and had the kids follow him around if they wanted some tickets! At the end, he stopped and threw tickets up in the air for the kids to catch. That was a nice touch, especially on a slower day! After lunch, Lennox got to play skeeball – which as we learned, is a little dangerous with a 3 year old! Grandma and mom got her some tickets though! Its fun that they have a classic arcade game like that for the little kids!
It was time to wrap up our visit after being there for close to 3 hours. Lennox finally got the courage to go sit with Chuck E. Cheese on his stage with me. She was a wiggle worm so we only got this picture … Our visit to Chuck E. Cheese was such a success! It really did exceed my expectations. Why? Well 3 big things.
1. It was very clean. You never know with all those kids coming in and out – but it was as clean, organized and the staff was very friendly.
2. The food was yummy and priced appropriately!
3. All the games take one token only. I really like that they all took 1 token only and that there was a wide range of games for every age. This really let you play for quite some time at Lennox’s age. 3 hours on a visit package of $29.99 – I think that is a pretty good deal!
Thank you Chuck E. Cheese – I know we will be back! Chuck E. Cheese has also partnered up with the Free Birds movie — Lennox is actually on her way to see the movie on Wednesday with her Mimi – I look forward to hearing how she liked it. They are also giving out some Rockin’ Wristbands with both Chuck E. on them and Free Birds! Lennox has all 4 and loves to wear her bracelets around and she got a new one on her visit! The more you spend, the more bracelets you get. Go here for more information on this promotion!
