Being a full-time working mom, and having a child – can make your morning routine a little, ok…very, hectic! You rush around to try to get ready before it’s time to get your child up for school, you get the up and dressed, then rush around a little more to get breakfast served, backpack packed, lunch packed (for both parents and child), grab your work things and head out the door – in a whirlwind type approach! Sure, at one time I thought cereal was the best approach. Pour it into a bowl, add some milk – viola! Breakfast is served! … not so much! Have you ever seen a toddler eat a bowl of cereal? It’s not a clean process. So this is where a new idea has come into play; Jimmy Deans Redbox Breakfasts!
We grabbed a box of these at Walmart the other day and Lennox couldn’t wait to try them out. I wasn’t sure if it would be too much for her or too messy – but it turned out to be just right! When it was time to try them out, she could barely wait for me to open the box! Don’t eat the box Lennox!
Although, Lennox needed a little boost and some help – she was able to “help” make her breakfast. She loves to be Mommy’s helper! They are super easy to make too – just wrap them in a paper towel and pop them in the microwave for a little over 2 minutes.
What I really like about the idea of having breakfast sandwiches in the morning is that Kyle and I can take them frozen to work if we are running out the door and just microwave them at work! We can also make one real fast before we leave with Lennox and she can eat it in the car. It’s not ideal to be so on the go – but the reality is, that sometimes it just goes that way!
This particular time though, she had time to sit down at her princess desk (notice the princess desktop!) and enjoy it at home while watching some cartoons. Add in a nice glass of orange juice and she was full and ready for a good day!
Pictured above is the Jimmy Dean Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit Sandwiches. The biscuit is light and fluffy and the whole sandwich is very good! Another one of our favorites is the Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches variety. I find them to be a little more filling because of the sausage! Make sure to check the freezer section next time you are at Walmart for this quick, easy and tasty breakfast for everyone in the family!
