This past weekend, Lennox had her second TOT (Teams of Tomorrow) performance. This time, it was at a much larger venue than last time – the American Airlines Center in Dallas as a pre-show event for the Harlem Globetrotters!I’m not going to lie, dropping off your child for a pre-show event in front of 12,000 people, under huge lights, speakers, screens, etc – is a little nerve-wracking for a parent, especially when that child is only 3 1/2 years old! But once she was off to the locker-room with her team – it was time for mommy and daddy to get to their seats and wait for Lennox to take the court!
Lennox did a great job again! We weren’t able to see her the whole time as people kept blocking our view (!) but from what we both saw – she did great. She didn’t let the ball get away from her this time and she followed all the directions. It was a much larger group of kids this time (about 60 kids) so getting them all the pay attention and follow directions was quite the task for the leader, Mrs. TOT!She never did find us in the stands, but it sure looks like she did when you see this picture…And she just looked so big out there! We were so proud of her for not getting scared in front of a ton of people, in a huge arena – that was SO loud!Once the performance was over, the headed back to the locker rooms and up to meet us. She was so excited that she did it (and that she got a ring pop – the little things in life 😉 ).
After her part was over, it was time to watch the Harlem Globetrotters. It was such a fun family event. It’s barely basketball between all the tricks, jokes, dances and music – but it kept Lennox entertained for the full two hours – and that is all that matters.
I really would recommend their game/show for a family outing sometimes!
