This weekend, Grapevine Texas is hosting its 10th Annual ChocolateFest, which is open to the public. This is a charity festival benefiting the Travelers Aid of DFW. Travelers Aid Dallas/Fort Worth is committed to assisting individuals and families who are in transition, in crisis or who are separated from their normal support systems and are facing a travel-related crisis.
There are two main events for this ChocolateFest. Last night was the Evening of Chocolate and Wine at Delaney Vineyards and Winery, which I had the honor of attending. Today is the Day of Chocolate and Art, taking place at the historic Palace Arts Center in Downtown Grapevine. If you love Chocolate, you really should check out this event! Here are the main event details if you are interested in attending! If you are unable to go this year, check back again this time next year, as it is an annual event!

As I mentioned, last night I was invited to join in on the fun of an evening of Chocolate and Wine! It was a great adult only event, hosted by Grapevine and many local sponsors.
This is a great event for couples, a girls night or even just a mingling event. They serve extremely yummy heavy hors d’oeurves, chocolate and wine. Does it get much better than that? You go around table to table and learn about the different chocolatiers in the area and try samples. All while listening to some great live music!
They also have a silent auction, to help benefit a great cause each year. The auction items ranged from travel tickets, to gift baskets and autographed pictures. They had some astronaut autographs, musicians and even TV stars. There were lots of fun items, just a little out of my price range unfortunately!
My friend Diana (from Down Home Traveler) and I had a great time and would love to attend again in the future! If you are in the grapevine area this weekend, make sure to check out their other event or plan to attend next year – you won’t be disappointed! For more information and ticket purchases, make sure to check out their website.
