This past weekend, we headed back down to Glen Rose, Texas to Fossil Rim. Fossil Rim is a drive thru safari, located southwest of DFW, Texas. We visited a few weeks ago and purchased a membership, so Saturday was our first trip back! We were excited to have my good friend, Meagan, visiting with us as well, from Vermont! Here Lennox and Meagan are – they are best buds now!
Fossil Rim is amazing! We love that place. It’s a great spot to head to if you are in the North Texas area, and no matter the weather, you are in the car most of the time, so it will work! You drive thru 1,800 acres of wilderness and animals, watching them and feeding them. Check out this view as we went down the “mountain” towards the Zebras!
Although it is all fun, it is somewhat of a long day. It takes close to 90 minutes to drive there, 3 to 4 hours to drive thru and then 90 minutes back home. So, being in the car for over 5 hours means that you HAVE to bring some snacks for the little one! There is nothing like “I’m hungry” when you are in the middle of the safari with no food in sight! So, before we left, Lennox and I packed a “on the go picnic”. She packed some fruit, juice box, muffins, fruit snacks, chips, etc.
While going through the safari, she was able to snack on her “on the go picnic” while enjoying all the animals. At one point, we parked and watched the Giraffes for a while, this is when the Cheetos were opened up by Lennox. Everything was great until she was a big orange mess! Napkins are great to have in the car of course, but some messes require something more AND with feeding the animals, something that could kill the germs is even better! This is when we pulled out our new container of Wet-Nap to help get Lennox all cleaned up! When I was at Walmart, the day before, I saw the Wet-Nap Antibacterial Hand Wipes and thought the round canister container was perfect for the car!
I love that the canister fits right into the backseat upholder (right in Lennox’s reach!) and Wet-Nap are even better than your everyday wipes, since they are antibacterial. Kids have so many germs, as do all the safari animals we were visiting Saturday, so having something like this handy was perfect to keep Lennox clean, germ free and a little less cheesy!
Wet-Nap® Antibacterial Hand Wipes now are offered in individual packets as well as canister containers and available at Walmart. Next time you are at Walmart, don’t forget to grab some of these Wet-Nap Antibacterial Hand Wipes (available in the health & beauty section), and use this printable $.55 off Wet-Nap coupon (while supplies last) to help save a little more money on top of Walmart’s already everyday low prices.
