Making homemade treats for holidays is always a good time and finding ones that kids enjoy is even better! This weekend Lennox and I put together some peanut butter & cracker Easter eggs to get into the Easter mood (right before we made our Easter Egg Garland that I shared the other day).
I want the share this easy treat with you as well.
What you will need:
- Oval shaped crackers
- Peanut Butter (or Nutella!)
- Dipping Chocolate (We used White Chocolate Bark)
- Lollipop Sticks
How to make them:
STEP ONE: Spread peanut butter or nutella onto a bunch of crackers – make sure you put enough to make it thick enough for the lollipop stick.
STEP TWO: Place the lollipop stick onto the middle of the peanut butter crackers
STEP FOUR: They are now ready to dip in the chocolate. If you find that your peanut butter is extra soft, you may want to place these into the freezer for 15-20 minutes prior to dipping in chocolate. I had to do that, and they seemed to stay together better!
STEP FIVE: Dip into Chocolate and then let your kiddos decorate with frosting, sprinkles, coconut, etc.
STEP SIX: Let sit out and dry / harden for a few hours before eating! If you find that the peanut butter has gotten soft again from the chocolate – put back in the fridge for a while! That’s it! Lennox loves them and they would make a great addition to any Easter basket!
