I’m finally getting around to posting all about our recent family vacation to Colorado. The #1 reason we were headed to Colorado was a big one, Kyle was graduating from Colorado State University!
Some may be surprised that we went all that way for graduation, but why not? It was such a huge accomplishment for Kyle. It may have been later than the traditional schedule, but he did it. He did it while working full time, being a husband, dad (with a newborn when he started) and everything else. All those weekends he had to miss due to homework, doing homework on vacations, etc. He finished and he’s done and graduated! I’m one proud wife and Lennox is one proud daughter!
The ceremony itself was pretty straightforward in terms of graduation, but it was put together nicely and it was ran well. It wasn’t too long and it wasn’t too short! AND Lennox did such a great job at sitting quietly while she waited for her Daddy to walk across that stage! When she could see him, she had the biggest smile!
I am glad that some of Kyle’s family was able to be there with us to celebrate and watch him graduate. Here are some family photos from the day!
Here is everyone who came – Kyle’s Mom, her husband Vince, Lennox, Kyle, Me and Gran “Grannie Annie”!
It was great that Kyle’s Grannie Annie was able to come! (she would introduce herself as Grannie Annie if she met you, I promise!)
Lennox was super excited for Graduation day! Look at this sweet smile!
And here is our proud little family!
We had a great morning at graduation. After graduation, we headed to a delicious Italian restaurant, recommended to us by Censie from Building our Story. They were able to meet us there as well! It was great for Lennox to have some little friends there and the more the merrier when it came to company! After lunch, Kyle’s family had to head back to the airport so Censie and her family, plus the 3 of us, headed out for a fun day at the Butterfly Pavilion and Casa Bonita (that is a another post completely!) Thanks for joining in our special day guys!!
