Last week I shared with you an idea for a fun Candy Corn Cooler mocktail – perfect for a Halloween themed party. Today I have two quick, easy and fun Halloween party food ideas, one featuring Halloween Oreos and one with Wheat Thins. Having great snack and dessert food at a Halloween party is a must, but sometimes you just don’t have time to make everything from scratch or you are afraid your fun and creative idea will turn out as a pinterest fail! Well, both of these recipes are easy to do and sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Today I’ll be showing you how to turn a pumpkin into a fun french onion dip bowl and how to turn Halloween Oreos into cute Black Cats!
Black Cat Oreo Cookies (that anyone can make!)
What you will need:
- Halloween Oreo Cookies
- Pre-Made Icing
- Chocolate Chips
- M&M’s or Candy Pieces (green and orange)
How to make:
Step One: Take your Halloween Oreos and put two dots of icing on the front, where the eyes will be. Place green M&M’s on the icing for eyes.
Step Two: Put another dot of icing below the eyes and place a small orange candy piece or mini M&M for the nose!
Step Three: Put icing on the bottom of two chocolate chips and place on the top of the (sandwiched part) Oreo. These will be the ears!
Step Four: Using the icing, draw a line in the middle of each eye to make cat eyes. This is where pre-made decorating icing comes in handy!
That’s it! Now you have some festive, kid friendly and fun Black Cat Oreo Cookies
You can find all the supplies for these Halloween party foods at your local Walmart, just like I did! Lennox even got to try some of the foods out the day we went shopping, because they were having a Halloween in-store event/demo! Nothing like a few snacks while grocery shopping! Enjoy the Halloween Treats everyone!
The second treat – is great to even bring to a party with you – turn your average small pumpkin (pumpkin pie size) into a dip bowl with some tasty French Onion Ranch Dip!
French Onion Ranch Dip – In a Pumpkin
What you will need:
- Wheat Thins
- Lipton Onion Seasoning Packet
- Sour Cream
- Ranch Seasoning
- French Fried Onions
- Small Pumpkin (pie size)
How to Make:
Step One: In a small mixing bowl, scoop in a full container of sour cream, onion seasoning packet, 1 1/2 teaspoons of ranch dressing seasoning and mix together.
Step Two: Before you cut your pumpkin, decide if you are going to serve the dip right in the pumpkin directly, or if you want to place a small bowl into the pumpkin. We opted to put a bowl into the pumpkin. Cut the top of the pumpkin off – leaving a hole the size of the dip bowl.
Step Three: Place the dip bowl into the pumpkin and pour in the dip!
Step Four: Put on a platter with a variety of Wheat Thins and serve! You now have a quick and festive way to serve any type of crackers and dip!
