Have you heard about the new phones and services that Walmart is now offering through their Walmart Family Mobile plan? In the past I have shared some information about Walmart Family Mobile and how much money you really can save (read here to see how I could save over 50% a year by switching to Walmart Family Mobile). Recently we purchased the Samsung Galaxy Avant phone from Walmart to try out. Kyle now has a work phone, so we may not need to keep two full term contracts plus a work phone – maybe we can start cashing in on those savings again with Walmart Family Mobile!

One great thing about the Walmart Family Mobile plan is that the $29.88/month no-contract plan includes Unlimited Talk, Text & Data services. The Data plan includes put o 500MB of 4G LTE coverage each month at no additional cost. I love that I can use this data anyway I want, anywhere I am. Whether I’m at the craft store buying new supplies, at work looking through emails, or even posting photos to Facebook of Lennox – I can do it all without being on WiFi with this phone. One thing I’m always doing on my phone is searching Pinterest and other family blogs for new and fun craft ideas to do with Lennox on the weekends.

With Earth Day approaching and spring here, I decided that it was time to get some gardening done at home and who better to help me with, than Lennox! Each year we make some new and cute flower pots, but this year I decided to use some recycled plastic bottles and turn them into flower pots! This is what you need to do to create this easy and fun craft at home too.

Recycled Plastic Bottle Flower Pots, Recycled Planters

  • Plastic Bottles
  • Scissors
  • Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Potting Soil
  • Flowers or Seeds

STEP 1: Take your empty plastic bottles and cut them in half. I found that poking a hole in one side and then cutting them with scissors works best. Soda bottles, ice tea bottles, milk jugs, anything will work!

STEP 2: Next, set up some paints and an area to let your kids be creative with their designs! Paint the outside of the plastic bottles and let dry.

STEP 3: Once dry, fill the flower pots with potting soil.

STEP 4: Plant some seeds or add a flower to the pots. Water and watch the flowers bloom!

That’s it! It’s really easy and a great way to reduce reuse and recycle the plastic bottles in your house, as well as brighten up your home for the spring! It was a big hit with Lennox!

How do you use your Data when you are on the go? Do you spend A LOT of money on your cell phone bill? If so – you really should check out Walmart Family Mobile.

With a bill of only $29.88/month for the first line, a huge savings is waiting for you! Also – if you are looking for a smart phone, I have really liked the Samsung Galaxy Avent. This is the first Samsung phone I have used and I found it easy to use (as did Lennox – you know, for watching Netflix in the car!) and it had all the features I needed, at a lower price.
