This week we are going to hit triple digit temperatures in Texas, and like every other kid in the summer – Lennox wants to play play play and eat eat eat! She’s all about a cold dessert after dinner since it’s just SO hot (and the hottest time of day here is dinner time) – so we are going to forget the popsicle for a few days and have some Ice Cream – but not just any Ice Cream! We want to take our ordinary bowl of ice cream and turn into a fun occasion!
Maybe we’ll call this vacation prep for our upcoming vacation to Cape Cod where we have Ice Cream EVERYDAY! Cape Cod does have some GREAT Ice Cream spots you know. Anyway, back to our Ice Cream Sundaes. I knew we would be grilling out a lot so I headed to Kroger to pick up everything we needed (Ice Cream, Cones and of course Toppings)!
When I headed to the Ice Cream toppings aisle (next to the breads and chips actually), there was a wide variety of options but I decided to stick with Smucker’s® – as they have always had some of my favorite toppings.
From Hot Fudge and Caramel to Marshmallow and Chocolate Magic Shell – there was something for each person in my family. I couldn’t decide on just one so I bought a few!
Once I had my toppings, I grabbed some small cones since I knew Lennox would want an Ice Cream cone too and headed to the Ice Cream Aisle. Everything looked so good and I was so ready for an Ice Cream Sundae that I ended up picking out three different flavors of Ice Cream.
Once I got home, I showed Lennox what I picked up and she was just a little excited for dessert this week and I know that we’ll all enjoy cooling down with these treats! Stay tuned to see what type of sundaes we make and even a fun Ice Cream art project to do with your children while dinner is cooking. There are an endless number of possibilities for Ice Cream Sundaes when you are using Smucker’s® products!
