Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

This past weekend, Lennox had a very special date – Daddy! It was the weekend of their second annual Daddy / Daughter Dance. This years theme was under the sea treasure and she was so excited. She woke up early and was ready for a full day of fun. She got her hair done, had a brand new dress and a handsome date!

Lennox had plans before the evening even started. A few of her old friends from Montessori school and their dads all met for dinner. Dinner and a date!

daddy-daughter-2016After dinner, they headed to the dance to party the night away with her friends, daddy and a few glow sticks! I’m not even sure what is happening in this picture – but that is a lot of happy girls, having a lot of fun!!

It’s always so fun to see how excited she is and I hope she remembers her fun evenings with Daddy forever!

This is a look back at 2015, her first daddy/daughter dance. She has grown a lot in just a year – she is getting so tall and was just as excited as this year!

Snowman Pudding Cups

This post is sponsored by Snack Pack®. All opinions are 100% my own.

At back-to-school time, I shared some cute back-to-school pudding cups and then zombie pudding cups, at Halloween. Now that we are past the holidays and into the winter, I’m sharing how you can make some cute snowmen. If you have a winter birthday party coming up or just want a fun surprise for your little one, these are easy to make and they’re sure to make everyone smile.

What you will need:

  • Vanilla Snack Pack® Pudding
  • Red felt
  • Orange felt
  • Black buttons (medium and small)
  • Hot glue gun

How to make:

STEP ONE: Cut out strips of red felt to become the snowman’s scarf.

STEP TWO: Turn the pudding cup upside down, and wrap the felt around the bottom of the pudding cup. Hot glue it in place.

STEP THREE: Using the orange felt, cut out a triangle carrot nose. Hot glue the nose onto the middle of the pudding cup’s front.

STEP FOUR: Hot glue four small, black buttons onto the cup to make a mouth.

STEP FIVE: Finally, glue on two large, black buttons for the eyes.

Let it dry and the snowman is complete! Repeat all the steps for as many snowmen as you want to make.

#CatchtheMoment {Week One}

2016 is a time to get back into photography. I have done the Catch the Moment in the past and haven’t completed it successfully. This year, I have decided to change up the challenge a bit for myself – mobile photos are allowed! Life happens, and some days I don’t grab my dSLR to capture the most perfect moment. So instead of setting myself up for failure on that one, I’ll be capturing the moment no matter where we are and with whatever camera I have handy. So let’s start off the year by catching up – Week one is below.

{Day 001 – January 01, 2016}

Kyle’s birthday is New Years Day, and as always, Lennox made him a cake. This year though, it was an easy bake oven cake! Kyle may have had to pretend it tasted good – but I’m pretty sure he really loved it, even funky taste and all!

{Day 002 – January 02, 2016}

Christmas may be over, and it may have been super hectic this year – but I had to capture the bright ornaments against a bright white tree.

{Day 003 – January 03, 2016}

Lennox has had a hard start to Kindergarten, unfortunately, but we are trying to keep up with all the work. She had lots of make up work to do over break, and we were trying to finish it up before school started again!

{Day 004 – January 04, 2016}

For Christmas I got a macro lens for my iPhone – this is one of the first photos I took with it. Pretty good for an iPhone pictures I think!

{Day 005 – January 05, 2016}

Today was back to reality. Christmas break was over and it was time to head back to work. I really do love where I work. It’s always a great thing when you can go to work each day, and know that at some point during the day you will be laughing so hard you cry! My work family is THE BEST.

{Day 006 – January 06, 2016}

The very last glow of Christmas 2015.

{Day 007 – January 07, 2016}

Today was a day full of Jury Duty. It was my first time called in Texas. I didn’t have to sit on a jury for a trial, but I did have to go through the questioning and selection process. The Tarrant County Historical Court House is beautiful.
