Mockingjay Part 2 Release + a Hunger Games Gift Guide + Giveaway

This post was sponsored by Lionsgate as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.

This weekend (November 20th), Mockingjay Part 2 is released! This will be the final for the Hunger Games Franchise and probably the best film yet for the franchise. There has been so much hype of the years when these movies have come out, and this release is no different.

If you are like me and have not read the books, you are unsure what is going to happen. I have my ideas and theories, but I like the surprise. What I do know is that in this final film, Katniss will work with her closest friends, Gale, Finnick and Peeta to risk their lives attempt the assassination on President Snow. President Snow has become obsessed with destroying Katniss, at any expense. Those expenses, I’m interested in seeing unravel on the big screen. I’m also interested in seeing how Philip Seymour Hoffman is represented in this film. I have read stories about cgi and script changes, but I have no doubt that watching the final scenes will showcase Hoffman and Plutarch in a very respectable way. It’s always saddening when you have to watch a movie that has had this happen but it’s also a great way to remember the actor/actress.

So who is going to head out this weekend and see the final Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay Part 2?

Are you a huge Hunger Games fan or do you have a friend/family member who is? With Christmas just around the corner, why not give them a Hunger Games related gift? Here are ten hunger games themed gifts to keep in mind this holiday season!

Fun and Safe Music Subscriptions for Kids! $300 Target Giveaway Included!

Note: This is a sponsored post but all opinions and thoughts are my own

We all love streaming music right? It’s an easy way to listen to your favorite music without having to purchase the albums or songs online. But when it comes to finding music that is kid friendly – it’s not always so easy. Many times I have started a station online, it starts out great and then it continues to play songs that are inappropriate or just not in theme of what I asked for. Recently though, I was introduced to Rhapsody Kids. Think Netflix Kids, but for music! Rhapsody Kids is the first music subscription service to offer an easy and safe music streaming experience for kids.

Everything from the music to the interface was designed for kids. The playlists are parent approved and the music is kid approved! The best part about Rhapsody kids I think is that it even allows you to download your customized music content, so that you can listen offline and on the go.

We let Lennox use one of our old iPhones as an iPod now but when we leave the house, so much of the stuff she wants to do on it, is unavailable without wifi or data – so something like Rhapsody kids is right up our alley.

What would be on the top of your kid’s playlist? I know Lennox would have some Disney tunes, Kidzbop and One Direction!

I encourage you to try out Rhapsody Kids! If you do so now through October 30, 2015 you can get 3 months for only $1! After your 3 months, the service is $9.99/month. Give it a shot for 3 months and see what you think!
