Happy 4th Birthday Lennox!

Last night, Lennox went to bed as a 3-year-old and this morning, she woke up as a 4-year-old! FOUR YEARS OLD! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I think back on the last 4 years, and we have done SO much. It seems to go by so fast, but at the same time, it has seemed like a long time. We have had lots of fun traveling, learning, watching all of her firsts (there are still some firsts happening which are fun too!), and everything in between. I looked back at her birthday photos from each year and she has grown up to be such a beautiful, silly, imaginative, talkative, (ok, sometimes naughty!) kid!

On June 18, 2010, Lennox was born! This is her very first photo!


A week later, she looked a little something like this. She was so tiny, in her little knit booties and bonnet from her Mimi!


Then she turned one with a Sesame Street birthday party! Look at those little 2 teeth – how cute!


She then grew up A LOT in a year, and had her Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party. This is when she really started looking like a big kid!


Last year, we had her Lalaloopsy birthday party – it was her first party with kids from school and it was a hit. She has grown up a lot even since then.


This year, we are planning a Barbie Birthday party, but today, she will celebrate with myself, Daddy and Grandma after school! This morning we went to donuts as a family, at her request, and I hope to pick her up early to have some fun! A lot more coming soon on her birthday gifts, party and everything else – stay tuned. Until then, I present to you .. Lennox, the FOUR year old!

Summer School 2013 vs 2014 Comparison

Thanks to the Timehop app (which I love by the way!), I saw that I took a first week of summer school photo last year. I decided to take a photo yesterday in the same spot to see the difference and I wanted to share.


What do you think? I don’t see as big of a difference, compared to the first day / last day of school photos the other day.

So far the first week of Summer School has gone well. She likes her new teacher and she has some new and old friends in class for the summer, which is great. I think Lennox was ready for a little bit of a change and I hope when we get back from vacation, she will be refreshed and ready to learn learn learn!!

Do your children go to summer school or do they stay home with you? I wish I could stay home with her, but honestly she is probably have more fun, and I know learning more – there, than if she was home with me!

20 Questions for a Three Year Old

Last month Lennox turned 3, as you may know! I am finally getting around to getting her 3 year well check up done and her 3-year-old interview! She did great at both!

As far her stats, which I feel like I need to put here, for my own sake so I don’t forget are as follows:

Height: 39 inches (75-80%)   ////    Weight: 30.6 pounds (45-50%)

Last year this time she was Height: 35″ (90%) //// Weight: 27lbs 6oz (50%)

So actually, not that much growth in a year, yet she looks much bigger and older, and of course, SO MUCH PERSONALITY!

A fun comparison – we just happened to get the same exam room for her 1 year, 2 year and 3 year visit so I have a side by side to show. My how she has grown!


And with turning 3, I asked her all the questions, plus a few new ones, for her 3 year old interview! You can see the answers to her 2-year-old interview here. Here is what she told me:

Of course she would say she wants to be a princess, that her favorite color is pink and that her best friend is Paxton – go figure! I do like that she thinks she’s going to be princess….in AFRICA.
