Sparkling Christmas Cocktail, Mocktail, Lemon Berry Punch

Kid Friendly Christmas Mocktail

Oh my gosh its Christmas Eve! When did that happen? The Christmas season has gone by so far with everything we’ve had going on – but I look forward to a weekend full of fun and family!

We all know the holidays are a time for get togethers with friends, families and kids. Everyone always has festive drinks to serve and the kids are left out, but there are so many drink ideas for “mocktails” that are great for kids or anyone who doesn’t drink alcoholic beverages. This Christmas I made Lemon Berry Christmas Mocktails!

Sparkling Lemon Berry Punch Recipe

  • DASANI Sparkling Water – Lemon Flavor
  • Simply Fruit Punch
  • Sugar
  • Food Coloring
  • Ice

To make this drink, I used DASANI Sparkling Water in the Lemon flavor. They are available at Walmart in 12 packs and a great alternative to have in the fridge year round.

Just pour your favorite flavor (I used Lemon) of Dasani Sparkling Water over ice. Add a few splashes of Simply Fruit Punch.

To add something more to the drink, garnish with a candy cane or even dip the glass in Red and Green Pixie Stix powder!

DASANI Sparkling Water comes in 4 different flavors, Lemon, Lime, Berry and Black Cherry. DASANI Sparkling Water is also the perfect mixer for all your holiday drinks. It is zero calories, unsweetened, zero artificial colors, and it’s caffeine-free!

A First Look at this year’s top toys for Christmas! #ChosenbyKids #TheList

A few months ago I was lucky enough to attend a sneak peek of this seasons hottest and newest toys. I couldn’t bring Lennox with me but if I had been able to – or if she found out what I had been looking at – I would be in a lot of trouble! From Elsa to Shopkins to Lalaloopsy – all of the big brands were there and I’m sure Lennox would have wanted them all!! Most of the toys I saw will be on the big christmas lists this year, but I wanted to share some of my favorites since I got to play with them and see how they really worked! Here are my top 5 christmas toys for the 2015 holiday season!

Sing-A-Long Elsa – Of course, Frozen is still one of the most favorite Disney movies and toy group for little girls. Last year it was snow glow Elsa – this year it is the sing along Elsa. I have been seeing the commercials a lot the past week or two, so I bet you have too if you have watched any children’s tv stations! The Sing-A-Long Elsa is just that, a sing along / karaoke toy that sings with you. It knows where you start and stop and then takes over to fill in the gaps. It is also the only frozen toy to have the full original Let it Go track so that your little one can sing their little Elsa heart out!

Shopkins – At the time, I didn’t know much bout Shopkins and Lennox was not into them. That has changed over the last two months, we now are a Shopkins house! Lennox loves them, so seeing some of the new playsets were great!

Project Mc2 Ultimate Lab Kit – This was a GREAT toy that was more than just a toy. It was a learning set that was so much fun. It is a suitcase full of science experiments! It was fun to see a toy that would help kids get excited about Science.

Barbie Saddle ‘N Ride Horse – Lennox loves Barbie and she wants to be a horse trainer when she grows up so I think when she sees this toy on the christmas list, she will want it. Just press a button and Barbie’s horse starts walking and then Barbie jumps on as well. It is really cute and a fun addition to any Barbie dream house or dollhouse!

Disney Infinity 3.0 – We have Disney Infinity 2.0 at home and my nephew loves the first one. Seeing that they have expanded the game to be even more kid friendly by including a side scrolling game plus a racing game – are just a few of the fun additions that have been added to Disney Infinity 3.0. I also love that they have introduced Star Wars and Inside Out characters. Lennox will flip when she sees Princess Leia is available, as well as Joy and Sadness from Inside Out!

All of these toys, and so much more will be available at Walmart this holiday season. Make sure to look for them, as well as so many other great toys for both boys and girls of all ages!

I’m Back and it’s 2015!

Well, today is officially the first day back to reality after a very nice 2 weeks off from my full-time job and from blogging. I had planned on leading up to the break a little differently on here but everything going on with the holidays took up all my time – but I’m glad that I took the break and took the time to relax, unplug from my laptop and computer and start to re-organize for the new year!

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years, however you may have celebrated. Our Christmas was a good one! Lennox had so much fun and Christmas morning was just so fun with a 4-year-old. I am trying to cherish all the moments around the holidays, because before we know it, the “magic” in her little eyes will start to dim and she will realize that Santa isn’t real – but while the magic is strong, we take full advantage of it!

I took over 500 pictures around Christmas and I haven’t had much time to edit or go through them but I wanted to make sure I posted a few, mostly to document the holiday and have something to look back on here on the blog. Here are a few of my favorites from our Christmas celebrations.

I love how our Christmas table looked as well!

New Years was another great celebration. It was Lennox’s first New Years Eve party and she had so much fun. We headed over to her friends parents house right down the street for a fun evening of yummy food, good company and lots of kids to play with! All the kids stayed up past midnight for the countdown and festivities and Lennox had lots of fun. She let us start the year even better by sleeping in until almost 11 AM! Yay Lennox! I love that we have a good sleeper!

Now that the new year is here, we have so many fun things to look forward to in 2015 and I look forward to sharing them all with you! Be ready to hear about some Travel topics, great recipes, blog tips, local events, crafts, family times and SO much more!
