I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Banana Boat®. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
It’s summer and we live in Texas. That means its HOT all the time and sunny almost every day. Although its summer, and school is out for most kids, Lennox still goes to school. She goes to school, year round – so after school and on the weekends we try to find fun activities. I want Lennox to still experience summer and truly have the #BestSummerEver! So after school yesterday we headed outside, put on our Banana Boat sunscreen and had some fun!
Once we were ready for some fun in the sun, we decided to make Glitter Sidewalk Chalk Paint! We love drawing with chalk on the walkway and sidewalk, but the idea of paint got Lennox so excited!
How to Make Glitter Sidewalk Chalk Paint
What you will need:
- Sidewalk Chalk
- Paint Brushes
How to make:
- Take a few pieces of sidewalk chalk, put each color into individual ziplock bags.
- With a hammer or rolling-pin, break up the chalk into small pieces. Add glitter if you wish.
- Once the chalk is broken up, pour into a small bowl or cup and mix with water. Add a little water at a time and mix together. The more water you add, the lighter the color will be. Add more glitter if needed!!
That’s it! Use your hands or a paint brush and start creating fun sidewalk pictures!
Reminder: When playing out in the sun, make sure your children and yourself apply Sunscreen, approx. 2 tablespoons, to all exposed skin. If you can put it on prior to heading into the sun, that would be even better so that it has time to soak in. If playing in the water, re-apply every two hours. Banana Boat® is one of our trusted, tried and true sunscreens that we recommend!
