I’m back from BlogHer13 — it was a GREAT time and I will write more about it when I have had enough sleep to actually think correctly, but my friend and roommate, Diana over at Down Home Traveler put together an awesome post about our “adventure” back from Chicago.
Yesterday, I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry most of the day. Between running to the gate to get on the plane to sitting for 2 1/2 hours in Wichita Kansas airport, to listening to a girl butt into our convo who called herself “socially awkward”, it was quite the day.
I now do know why Dorothy was swept away from Kansas, and I’m not sure why she would have wanted to go home! No offense to anyone who live in the area. I’m sure Kansas in general is very nice, but what I do know is that the Wichita Kansas Airport, is not very nice!
I will let Diana tell you the whole story… But let’s just say that somewhere between Chicago and Wichita, we entered the Twilight Zone and went back to the 50′s….
I was so happy to be back in Texas and back in 2013!
So if you need a good laugh today, Just go on over to Diana’s post about Diana & Heather’s Awesome Adventure and learn why we think Wichita is called the Air Capital of the World!

Lennox always tells me interesting things in the car, before and after school. This one I found quite funny and just too old for her age!
Me: Yes, Baby?
Lennox: Um, Do you think this is a good idea? *tapping her chin with her finger*
Me: What do you mean? *trying not to giggle*
Lennox: Do you think this is a good idea? Going to school!
Me: Do I think going to school is a good idea? Of course it is.
Me: Because you have to see your friends and mommy has to go to work.
Lennox: Oh, Ok Mommy! *Goes back to watching Netflix*
Well ok then…
…and because we can’t have a post without a cute picture!
Lennox always has funny things to say to us, and she is quite a character. I posted a while back some funny conversations we have had, here is version 2.0!
One morning after spilling some of her milk from her cereal bowl, she says in a very concerned voice, “My dress, it’s all milky!”
While sitting on the potty before bed, she wouldn’t let us in the bathroom, we had to wait outside the door and all she says to us is… “I’m going to go poopy!!…BIG poopy!…Like a big mountain!” Oh gee, thanks, just want I always wanted, a poop mountain! Now if only she would learn to go #2 in the potty
At bedtime, she never goes right to sleep. She almost always plays w/ her stuffed animal, reads a book or sings songs. She was calling out for us to come see her (so that she didn’t have to go to bed!) and she calls out, “Mommmyyy…I want youuuu” a few seconds later “I’m sad… in my heart” .. ok, now that made me go upstairs and see her! That even made daddy cave in and let her get up for a little while to play more… wrapped around his little finger I tell you!
This week at work, we were all given a large gnome (guess where I work!).. upon opening the box at home, Lennox exclaims, “IT’S SANTA!!”
I know there are about 100 more sayings I could tell you, but I just can’t think of them at the moment. So until next time, what funny sayings do your kiddos tell you?
