Lennox playing in texas snow

Thunder, Lightning, and….!!

Usually we all have a heads up when it’s going to snow, especially down here in the south. It’s anticipated by kids and hated by many adults…but not me! I love love love when it snows here! So when I woke up at 4am (ugh yes, Lennox is sick so she was up in the middle of the night coughing), it started thunder and lightning. I figured rain would follow. Well I guess the temperature got colder than forecasted and guess what… it snowed!

Lennox was excited that it snowed too when I told her when she woke up. She was home sick with me, but I couldn’t NOT let her go out. So we put our clothes on and went outside, for all of 4-5 minutes! She gets cold really fast and it was wet and melty by the time we got out there. But, she still got to play in it for a few and I had to take a few pictures.

How do you like her pig hat? or how about the fuzzy pink jacket? She was AFRAID of this jacket since she got it on christmas from her Mimi. Finally today my mom was able to convince her it was a Lalaloopsy jacket and she finally loves it.

Insta-lately

I haven’t been sharing as many pictures or even posts lately as I try to get back into the swing of work, routine and everything in between. So today I figured I would just do a small photo dump from instagram photos I have loved lately :)

First up… A nice shot of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad cars in Grapevine, TX. I had the pleasure of going on the Grapevine Wine Train before Christmas with a friend (the same train we went on for the Polar Express ride!) I just love these old trains and the way the sun was hitting it in the late afternoon.

Next up, Here is Lennox on the first day back to school. She would rather stay home and ride her new bike she got from Mimi for Christmas, than get her things together and get out the door. The was post tantrum and pre next tantrum!! You can imagine how that morning went ;-)

It’s been mighty chilly here in Texas lately. As a northerner – it’s a nice break from the 100* heat of summer. There is something about the crisp cold air in the morning and evenings and a little frost glistening all over everything in the sun.

Along with this cold weather, came some SNOW on Christmas Day! Lennox was all bundled up and ready for the snow — although in a way, I think she liked looking at it out the window rather than going outside in it. She looks so grown up here… Look at all that hair!! I want it!

Here is Lennox checking out the snow all over everything. She loved that there was snow on the Polar Bear.

Most every morning, Lennox is happy to get up and see either her mommy or daddy. If I take a picture of her, she will keep saying cheese and want to see each picture, and then ask for more!

There is nothing better than some sweet snuggles with mommy before bed! A little of her new Lalaloopsy nightgown showing in there too – she loves that thing!

And lastly, what is wrong with this picture? We were waiting until it was time to go into school and this is what was going on in my backseat. My daughter turned into a big girl and left a cat behind!

So — those are a few of my favorites as of late! It’s kind of fun to look back at all the instagram pictures I have taken. Right now I am currently at 712 photos! If you don’t already follow me, start! My username is just HeatherTerrell

Snow day in Texas!

Woohoo!! It was great waking up at about 4am and seeing that it had started snowing instead of raining! Then when Kyle got up for work at 7, there was even more snow on the ground which meant it was time to work from home and stay off the roads with these crazy Texans!

It’s not like we never get snow in Texas – we have a few times this winter, but nothing like this! Usually its an inch or two and then it turns to rain! It’s been snowing for at least 14 hours at this point and it’s suppose to keep snowing into the night. School’s got out early and KellerISD is already cancelled for tomorrow! I’m sure all the neighborhood kids are happy about that!

Once we all got up, it was time for Daisy to go play in the snow… She loved it! Usually she doesn’t like wet or cold weather, but with the snow being deeper she was going crazy! Chasing the snow, eating the snow, digging in it. She had a blast. Here are some pictures from the day.

On the baby front – Lennox was kicking my hand this morning when I put it on my belly, maybe she was excited about the snow storm too!! Annette says shes going to be a soccer player :-p I also spent the evening last night looking at alllll the stroller options that there are – man oh man, does there have to be 500 different strollers to choose from, ranging from $50 to $1000? Geesh! We are going to stick with what consumer report says is a safe, good stroller and affordable! Still so many more things to pick out!!
