Our Night in Gabba Land!

Friday night we brought Lennox to see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get the Sillies Out! and let me just tell you, I have never seen Lennox so excited for something to start. She was just about to burst with excitement leading up to the show. “GABBA LAND GABBA LAND, YOOOOO GABBA GABBAAAA”

“YO GABBA GABBA TIME!”

We got to the show and went to pick up our tickets. I didn’t know where we were going to be sitting, but quickly found out that we were front row – great surprise and I didn’t have to worry about Lennox not being able to see. Although we were front row, I would say everyone would enjoy this show no matter where they sat. It was SO high energy and they encouraged you to get up with your kids and have a great time!

Excited!

The show is really more of a concert than a show. I have been to other children’s performances and this one takes the cake. It is by far the most entertaining and energetic of any that I have been to. It starts out the same way the TV show does, we all got to bring the characters to life. Within in moments of the show starting, there is confetti falling from the ceiling, the music is blasting and the kids are up jumping and dancing around!

Biz Markie came out to do Biz’s beat of the day as well! It was pretty neat to see him do his thing with the kids. They brought some kids up on stage to do some beats and dance around – they were having a great time!

DJ Lance started talking to Lennox during the show, gave her a high-five and then Plex gave her a knuckle knock. I think her 2-year-old life was made that night! The next day she told me that she knuckle knocked Plex – she was excited!

The show is a fun-filled 60-70 minutes plus a 15-20 minute intermission (snack break as Toodee said!). As I said before, it is more of a concert than a story. They go through a bunch of their fun songs and dances from the Yo Gabba Gabba TV show. I really think the parents had just as much fun as the kids did. I didn’t see anyone sitting down during their dancing songs! The kids were in the aisles having a blast! This is the way a kids show really should be!

Then it was time to say goodbye. Lennox and every kid there was sad to say goodbye but all good things must come to an end! The goodbye song got everyone singing and dancing and then a sea of confetti came down again.

We bought Lennox the live show on DVD and we watched it 4 times this weekend. I think that DVD will get put to use ALOT and well worth the $10!

If Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! is ever in your area, and your kids are into the show, you really should try to attend. I really don’t think you will be disappointed.

Lennox has always been a big fan of Yo Gabba Gabba. We had her 2 year birthday party with the theme of Gabba Land and all of the fun friends (Foofa, Brobee, Muno, Toodee and Plex). It has been a show for Lennox, that has kept coming back. She will lose interest for a while but we always seem to circle back to Yo Gabba Gabba! Lucky for this little girl, we have gotten invited to go see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get the Sillies Out! Live show in Dallas, Tx on March 15th.

Party Time: Yo Gabba Gabba Style!

Warning: Lots of cute pictures ;-) And even more here if you are interested.

Last Monday was Lennox’s Birthday but last Saturday was Lennox’s birthday party! This year we decided to have the theme of Yo Gabba Gabba (one of her favorite shows). I had found some traditional party decorations that were Yo Gabba Gabba themed and then decided to use rainbow colors for the rest. I had found some great ideas from Pinterest, so between the two types, I think it came out pretty well :)

My favorite were the Rainbow cupcakes. I made these once before and they were a major hit, so once again I made them and they came out just as great.

We also had muno juice, jello rainbow cookies, fruit, veggies and chips & dip.

Lennox had a great time playing with all her friends. Although, everyone was there to see the birthday girl, all the kids ran away into the play/toy room – which worked out much better than I planned. I didn’t plan for the kids to go in there actually, but they didnt make a disaster, as I had feared!
We all got to visit with family too, of course. My mom made the trip down from Massachusetts, which Lennox LOVED.

After a little visiting and playing, it was time for CAKE!

Some of these cake pictures with Lennox came out so well (thanks to my neighbor and sister taking pictures for me! I am now sold on the fact I need a better camera…)

This picture shows the REAL Lennox, she is crazy:

And of course, the party ended with presents!

Hey? Is there more in here?

All in all it was a great birthday party. Lennox had A LOT of fun. Thanks to everyone who came and for all the sweet gifts, she loves them ALL (more to come on that soon)!

Lastly, it wouldn’t be a Yo Gabba Gabba party without DJ Lance Rock showing up:

Once again, Happy Birthday to our TWO year old – We love you!!!
