Pudding Cups & Easter Eggs

This post is sponsored by Snack Pack®. All opinions are 100% my own.

Easter is less than 2 weeks away, and so instead of dying Easter eggs at the last possible moment, as we usually do, I decided to pick up some Easter egg dye, Snack Pack® Pudding Cups and eggs this weekend, and let my daughter start decorating a little earlier this year.

You’re probably wondering why the pudding? What do Snack Pack® Pudding Cups and dying Easter eggs have to do with one another? Well – while Snack Pack® Pudding is an easy go-to snack for your kids, make sure to save all of the empty pudding cups because they are the perfect size for dying Easter eggs. They are especially good for those little fingers that can’t quite figure out how to use the egg dippers!

Just add some vinegar to each of the empty Snack Pack Pudding Cups and drop in the dye tablets. Once they have dissolved you can add in more vinegar for a deeper color or water for a more pastel color. Either way, fill up the cups about 2/3’s. This will give you enough room to dip in the eggs without them spilling.

Once your kids have finished dying their Easter eggs the cups can just be recycled for quick clean up or saved for another use.

Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

This past weekend, Lennox had a very special date – Daddy! It was the weekend of their second annual Daddy / Daughter Dance. This years theme was under the sea treasure and she was so excited. She woke up early and was ready for a full day of fun. She got her hair done, had a brand new dress and a handsome date!

Lennox had plans before the evening even started. A few of her old friends from Montessori school and their dads all met for dinner. Dinner and a date!

daddy-daughter-2016After dinner, they headed to the dance to party the night away with her friends, daddy and a few glow sticks! I’m not even sure what is happening in this picture – but that is a lot of happy girls, having a lot of fun!!

It’s always so fun to see how excited she is and I hope she remembers her fun evenings with Daddy forever!

This is a look back at 2015, her first daddy/daughter dance. She has grown a lot in just a year – she is getting so tall and was just as excited as this year!

First Look at This years toys - Christmas Toys 2015

A First Look at this year’s top toys for Christmas! #ChosenbyKids #TheList

A few months ago I was lucky enough to attend a sneak peek of this seasons hottest and newest toys. I couldn’t bring Lennox with me but if I had been able to – or if she found out what I had been looking at – I would be in a lot of trouble! From Elsa to Shopkins to Lalaloopsy – all of the big brands were there and I’m sure Lennox would have wanted them all!! Most of the toys I saw will be on the big christmas lists this year, but I wanted to share some of my favorites since I got to play with them and see how they really worked! Here are my top 5 christmas toys for the 2015 holiday season!

Sing-A-Long Elsa – Of course, Frozen is still one of the most favorite Disney movies and toy group for little girls. Last year it was snow glow Elsa – this year it is the sing along Elsa. I have been seeing the commercials a lot the past week or two, so I bet you have too if you have watched any children’s tv stations! The Sing-A-Long Elsa is just that, a sing along / karaoke toy that sings with you. It knows where you start and stop and then takes over to fill in the gaps. It is also the only frozen toy to have the full original Let it Go track so that your little one can sing their little Elsa heart out!

Shopkins – At the time, I didn’t know much bout Shopkins and Lennox was not into them. That has changed over the last two months, we now are a Shopkins house! Lennox loves them, so seeing some of the new playsets were great!

Project Mc2 Ultimate Lab Kit – This was a GREAT toy that was more than just a toy. It was a learning set that was so much fun. It is a suitcase full of science experiments! It was fun to see a toy that would help kids get excited about Science.

Barbie Saddle ‘N Ride Horse – Lennox loves Barbie and she wants to be a horse trainer when she grows up so I think when she sees this toy on the christmas list, she will want it. Just press a button and Barbie’s horse starts walking and then Barbie jumps on as well. It is really cute and a fun addition to any Barbie dream house or dollhouse!

Disney Infinity 3.0 – We have Disney Infinity 2.0 at home and my nephew loves the first one. Seeing that they have expanded the game to be even more kid friendly by including a side scrolling game plus a racing game – are just a few of the fun additions that have been added to Disney Infinity 3.0. I also love that they have introduced Star Wars and Inside Out characters. Lennox will flip when she sees Princess Leia is available, as well as Joy and Sadness from Inside Out!

All of these toys, and so much more will be available at Walmart this holiday season. Make sure to look for them, as well as so many other great toys for both boys and girls of all ages!
